“This year, the UNT Dallas food pantry program has provided approximately 34,000 pounds of food to nearly 3,000 individuals across the region,“ the release said. ”This builds on the 820,000 pounds of food distributed to more than 31,000 individuals in 2024–2025.”

The mobile food pantry started during the pandemic in 2020, providing resources to North Texans in need. Since then, the program has become a dependable, free option that is open to the public monthly.
