Update: 10:15 a.m.: CPS Energy’s latest numbers from their outage map shows that 1,768 residents are currently without power as 58 total active outages continues the plague the San Antonio area.

CPS Energy reports that 43 active outages are leaving 3,939 of San Antonio residents without power as storms move through the area and South Texas. A flood watch was put into effect at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 24, through 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.

According to the CPS Energy outage map, a high number of outages are located in Leon Valley area with four active outages.

CPS Energy said on social media that work crews will be responding to any reports of possible downed power lines and outages this morning. Delays in restoration may occur due to weather and road conditions, so please know that workers will also be prioritizing safety conditions during the morning storms, CPS Energy said.

Downed powerlines can be reported to 210-353-HELP (4357).

The forecast says that rainfall totals of one-to-three inches of rain is possible, with isolated amounts up to five inches. NWS warns that excessive runoff can result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and low-lying, flood-prone areas.

What roads in San Antonio are closed right now?

Two roads currently are closed for resident drivers, according to Bexar County. Both Old Fredericksburg Road and Burshard Road are blocked off due to construction in the areas that is expected to last for a few more months.
