Editor’s note: Featured pets may be adopted quickly, but there are always others ready for their forever home at the Humane Society of North Texas.

At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.
When daylight hours stretch and school calendars shift, travel plans take shape, and many families start thinking about how they want to spend their time together. As routines change, more families step forward ready to welcome a new companion.
This week’s featured puppies could not make a sweeter impression. Floyd, Hornet and Lala are all under 3 months old, and during their photo session, they proved to be absolute angels. Calm, curious and eager to engage, each one showed the temperament that makes puppyhood feel joyful.
Floyd, a 2-month-old shepherd mix with tan-and-black coloring, is observant and affectionate, taking in his surroundings while staying close to his handlers. Shepherd mixes are known for their intelligence and loyalty, and Floyd shows early signs of both.
Hornet, a 3-month-old terrier mix with striking black-and-white markings, brings a little spark to the group. Alert and expressive, he is playful without being chaotic and enjoys engaging with people. Hornet is the type of puppy who would thrive in an active household.
Lala, a 3-month-old retriever mix, rounds out the trio with a thoughtful presence. She has a warm, attentive nature. She watches closely, leans in gently, and seems to take comfort in being near people. Her spirit is easygoing, and she carries herself with a confidence that suggests she will grow into a steady, loyal companion.
Spring can be the perfect time to help a puppy settle into a new routine, begin basic training and build the foundation for a lifelong bond.
