Assault causes bodily injury to a family member (listed as domestic violence in the crime log under the Clery Act)
On March 13, officers investigated a disturbance, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email. An unaffiliated person was arrested for the alleged assault of a student during an argument. She was taken to the Arlington Police Department jail.
Assault causing injury to a family member is a third-degree felony punishable by jail time between two and 10 years. Perpetrators may also receive a fine not exceeding $10,000.
Criminal trespass
On March 15, officers investigated an unaffiliated male who accessed a secure building without authorization, McCord said.
If the offender has not been previously convicted of trespassing on higher education property, the offense is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, confinement in jail of up to 180 days or both.

Criminal mischief and false alarm or report
On March 11, officers investigated a damaged fire alarm pull station, McCord said.
Criminal mischief with a pecuniary loss between $100 and $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, confinement in jail for up to 180 days or both.
False alarm or report at an institution of higher education is a state jail felony punishable by imprisonment of 180 days to two years in jail, a fine not to exceed $10,000 or both.

Graffiti
On March 11, a student reported graffiti on a door, McCord said.
Graffiti with under $100 in pecuniary loss is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.

Trademark counterfeiting
On March 10, a staff member reported a fraudulent check, McCord said.
Trademark counterfeiting between $100 and $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both.
