After a cold front at the beginning of the week in which it felt more like winter, North Texas is headed into the weekend with blazing hot weather that will feel more like summer.
Friday will be hot and sunny with high temperatures topping out around 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. The record high for the day is 92 degrees.
Nighttime temperatures on Friday are expected to bottom out at 63 degrees. A slight breeze of 5 mph will last from day into the night, the weather service says.
The weekend is forecast to bring more 90-degree weather to the Dallas-Fort Worth region. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday are expected to top out at 97 and 99, respectively. The temperatures could approach or set new records each day this weekend before slightly cooler weather returns early next week.
