One man was killed and two others were wounded Thursday night in a road rage shooting in South Dallas, police say.

Officers were dispatched shortly after 11 p.m. to the 4500 block of South Fitzhugh Avenue, near Helen Street, where they found three men had been shot in a vehicle.

One man, who was not publicly identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Two others were hospitalized; one in critical condition, the other with non life-threatening injuries.

A fourth person who was also in the vehicle was not hurt.

“The uninjured passenger stated that the incident that led to the shooting was due to road rage,” police wrote in a news release.
