SANTA TERESA, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — (UPDATE 4:25 PM) CRRUA says water operators are making progress repairing a broken water line impacting The Reserve Townhomes near the intersection of Country Club Road and McNutt Road in Sunland Park, NM. Further updates forthcoming.
(UPDATE 1:00 PM) – The general outage area has been reduced to The Reserve Townhomes and the adjacent office at 1300 Country Club Road.
A Neighborhood in Santa Teresa and Sunland Park will experience an interruption in water service today for repairs to a water line leak.
The affected area is near 1300 Country Club Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
The water will be shut down as crews will be doing a maintenance operation.
We are working to learn the cause of the leak and an estimated time of repair.
Officials say once water service is restored, customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system.

CRRUA recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes.
