A 17-year-old suspect is in custody after fleeing from officers late Thursday night and crashing into an unrelated vehicle, Fort Worth police said.

Officers saw a car doing burnouts and stopped the vehicle near the 2300 block of Cullen Street. The driver sped away, police said, and the officers followed.

During the chase, the suspect’s car hit another vehicle at the intersection of East Lancaster and Edgewood Terrace, according to police. The driver of the car that was hit was injured and taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The suspect, Joel Haro, was arrested and booked into the Fort Worth City Jail. The teen faces a variety of charges, including possession of a controlled substance, police records state.
