AUSTIN, Texas — A baby has died days after being born prematurely following a crash in South Austin.
The Austin Police Department (APD) said a two-vehicle crash happened Saturday, March 14 at around 2:21 p.m. in the 500 block of South Congress Avenue.Â
Police said a pregnant passenger was injured in the crash and was taken to a local hospital, where she gave birth prematurely. The baby was later pronounced dead four days later on Thursday, March 19. Â Police also said the driver of the other vehicle remained on scene.
