Easter falls on Sunday, April 5, this year, meaning it’s time to spring into action and make plans. (See what we did there?)

Regardless of your take on the pun, here are seven San Antonio restaurants offering their own spins on Easter dining, from elegant prix-fixe brunches to take-home family bundles to casual dining with photos with the Easter Bunny.

Just remember to place those reservations now, because spots fill up quickly.

Kona Grill

The chain will be open for Easter, offering brunch options in the morning including berry-topped pancakes and a savory breakfast burger. Guests dining in later in the day can feast on entrees such as the Kona Loco with seared ham and fried eggs. Keep in mind there’s only one Kona Grill location at Northstar Mall as of publication, although a second location is in the works at 5603 Presidio Parkway that’s slated for a fall debut. 7400 San Pedro Ave, (210) 998-7601, konagrill.com.

Ostra

If you’re looking for a prix-fixe menu, it may be worth checking out Ostra at the Mokara Hotel & Spa. The coastal-inspired restaurant has a $62 three-course menu that includes Gulf blue-crab beignets, soft poached eggs accompanied by a soft shell crab Benedict and key-lime baked Alaska for dessert. 212 W. Crockett St., (210) 396-5817, omnihotels.com.

Hard Rock Cafe

Families looking for a hopping good photo op may want to take photos with the Easter Bunny at the Hard Rock Cafe. The downtown establishment will also have coloring stations, a brunch buffet and a fun treat for kids to take home. 111 W. Crockett St., (210) 224-7625, cafe.hardrock.com.

Dean’s Steak & Seafood

Guests can opt to dine à la carte or enjoy a curated brunch buffet at Dean’s Steak & Seafood in the courtyard of the Kimpton Santo Hotel. The brunch buffet runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Interested parties can upgrade their experience with add-ons such as Easter baskets, oysters or champagne. Reservations are encouraged. 431 S. Alamo St., (210) 759-7441, deanssteakandseafood.com

Corinne

Another family-friendly option, Corinne’s Easter brunch at the Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa will include Easter egg hunts, face painting, egg decorating, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and a curated brunch for the occasion. 555 S. Alamo St., (210) 353-8018.

Q Kitchen & Bar

Available from 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m., the Easter brunch at the newly renovated Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk features a full brunch spread for diners. Eenjoy freshly baked pastries, chorizo and eggs, French toast with lemon strawberry compote, oatmeal, salmon, cured meats, strawberry rhubarb crostata and more. 123 Losoya St., (210) 510-4477, hyatt.com.

Whiskey Cake

For a more adult spin on Easter, Whiskey Cake has a special Bloody Mary for the occasion, swapping the typical tomato base for carrot juice. If you’d rather take Easter brunch to-go, the La Cantera eatery has a $30 Easter take-home bundle with what else? Deviled eggs — along with chicken-and-waffle sliders and candied bacon. The specials are available from April 3-5. 15900 La Cantera Parkway, Suite 21200, (210) 236-8095, whiskeycake.com.
