The Texas baseball team won’t have long to dwell on its midweek misstep.
On Friday, Texas opens a three-game conference series at Auburn. Texas (18-2, 2-1) and Auburn (18-2, 3-0) are respectively ranked second and fifth in the D1Baseball poll.
Friday’s first pitch comes a few days after Texas and Auburn experienced very different results in their midweek games. Auburn opened its week with a 9-2 win on Tuesday over No. 3 Georgia Tech. That same day featured UT’s surprising loss to Tarleton State at home.
