UNT Health Fort Worth is not impacted by program cuts at the University of North Texas, a spokesperson told the Fort Worth Report Friday.
Officials at the Denton school announced Thursday that they are eliminating, merging or consolidating 85 undergraduate and graduate degrees, minors and certificates as the campus grapples with a $45 million budget shortfall.
The Denton university is facing financial strain from a drop in tuition and fee revenue due to a decrease in the number of international graduate students enrolled.
UNT Health Fort Worth, which operates its own budget, is on track for revenue to exceed expenses and transfers this fiscal year.
The two schools are separate but fall under the UNT System.
