The Austin Municipal Court’s annual Warrant Amnesty Program starts on Monday and runs through April 17. Here’s what residents need to know.

The Austin Police Department promoted the program in a Friday afternoon social media post. “Have an unpaid citation or warrant with the Austin Municipal Court or Austin Community Court?” the post reads. “We want to help. The 2026 Warrant Amnesty Program starts this Monday, March 23 and runs through Friday, April 17.”

The post continues, “Come voluntarily to the court to have warrant fees waived and take care of active warrants and unpaid citations without threat of arrest. No appointment necessary.”

According to this city flyer, the program only applies to charges filed in the Austin Municipal Court and Austin Community Court. Residents unable to pay that day still have options. They can set up a payment plan, request community service, or petition or a hardship waiver.

Spanish interpreters will be available. Call 512-974-4800 or visit austintexas.gov/court for more information.
