The San Antonio Zoo ranked as the nation’s seventh-best zoological park in the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, the results of which were released Thursday.
It’s the fourth time in the past three years that San Antonio Zoo has made a national Top 10 list, and the ranking comes as the zoo continues to tout nationally acclaimed projects, including its recently opened gorilla exhibit, Congo Falls, and overnight stay options at Spekboom Lodge.
“We are incredibly proud to be ranked among the best zoos in the country by USA Today readers,” San Antonio Zoo CEO Tim Morrow said in a statement. “These honours reflect the passion and dedication of our Zoo Crew and the incredible support from our community. Together, we are continuing to elevate San Antonio Zoo as a destination for conservation, education, and unforgettable wildlife experiences.”
In addition to the Best Zoo accolade, Flamingo Mingle was ranked the No. 7 Best Zoo Exhibit in USA Today’s rankings, while the SA Zoo’s membership came in as the nation’s No. 8 best in that category.
More info on the zoo, including operating hours and ticket information, is available on its official website.
