A driver was killed Saturday morning after a loose wheel from another vehicle struck a car traveling in the opposite direction on Interstate 35E in Dallas, authorities said.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post at 8 a.m. that the crash occurred in the northbound express lanes of I-35E near Eighth Street.
Investigators said a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling southbound lost a wheel. The detached wheel crossed into the northbound express lanes and struck another vehicle, killing the driver.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
