A wild sequence, a lot of contact, and Graham Ike drops in a basket for Gonzaga as the Zag crowd gets crazy. Texas’s Jordan Pope is limping on a bad right ankle, teammate Dailyn Swain comes up limping after a hard bodycheck and no call, and coach Sean Miller is irate with the officials.
Graham Ike gets his fourth foul at the 6:15 mark, and Zag coach Mark Few elects to keep him in the game. Jordan Pope doesn’t care if Ike’s in the paint or not; he nails his second 3-pointer of the game and is up to 14 points.

Daillyn Swain is starting to come alive for Texas and is up to 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting with three rebounds and four assists. He’s a patient player, but he may have to take over at some point. Graham Ike still carrying the Zags with 19 points.
Just an absolute war, especially in the paint. Heck, the ref just warned a Texas cheerleader and threatened ejection. Texas’s Matas Vokietaits and Gonzaga’s Graham Ike get a double foul, and each has three. Whichever big man avoid that fourth foul could give his team an edge late in the game.

Chendall Weaver and Nic Codie each have eight points on 4-of-5 shooting off the bench for Texas. Huge production, especially since Tramon Mark has just four points and Dailyn Swain has seven points on just four shots.
Texas falls behind by one point, Chendall Weaver comes into the game, and the senior guard immediately gets (in order), a steal, a bucket, a block and another block. What an impact he makes in a quick amount of time; Texas coach Sean Miller will miss him next season.

Jordan Pope (9 points) hits a 3-pointer just before the halftime buzzer, and the Longhorns close the half with a flurry. They trailed 28-20 with 5:22 left in the half but outscored the Zags 15-5 down the stretch. Texas hits its last seven shots. Matas Vokietaitis has seven points and four rebounds, and Zag forward Graham Ike leads all players with 11 points.
Since that timeout, Texas has made all six of its shots. When the Longhorns get the ball down low, good things happen. When they get out and run, good things happen. Jordan Pope and Matas Vokietaitis lead Texas with seven points apiece.

The Longhorns’ offense is getting bogged down by all the Zag length. Texas has missed its last six shots and hasn’t scored in 2 minutes, 48 seconds. Sean Miller takes a timeout to figure things out.
The refs are letting them play, which must be appreciated by Sean Miller. His Longhorns have just one foul. But his team has to find out a way to slow Zag big man Graham Ike, who has nine points on 4-of-6 shooting.

Fast start by the Zags, who are 9-of-14 from the floor. But Nic Codie has come off the bench for four points, and anything from this Texas bench this season is a bonus. One thing to watch: Texas has outrebounded both of its NCAA foes, but Gonzaga leads on the boards, 8-6
Matas Vokietaits has an early foul, which is something Texas coach Sean Miller doeesn’t want to see. Jordan Pope has the two Texas buckets on pull-up jumpers.
