AUSTIN, Texas — Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden announced Saturday that they had raised approximately $35,000 for the victims and families impacted by the 6th St. mass shooting that occurred March 1st.

The incident occurred when 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne killed three people and injured over a dozen others after opening fire on W 6th St. just before 2 a.m. on March 1st. Diagne was later shot and killed by Austin police.

Buford’s owner pledged to donate all proceeds to the victims and their families in the days after they reopened following the shooting.

Buford’s stated their gratitude to the community and how they have shown up to help as they have been working to process and move forward from the mass shooting.
