HOUSTON — A man is in critical condition after a fender bender led to a shooting in southwest Houston late Saturday night, police say.
The shooting happened on South Gessner Road near South Braeswood Boulevard around 11:45 p.m.
The Houston Police Department said the incident stared as a minor crash. They said words were exchanged before the suspect got out of their car and shot the victim in the stomach.
The victim, an adult man, was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
HPD said officers were able to track down the suspect’s vehicle with the help of Flock cameras. Two people in the vehicle were detained and officers reportedly found guns in their car.
It’s unclear what charges the two people may face. An investigation into the shooting is underway.
