SAN ANTONIO – A three-vehicle crash early Sunday morning left one woman hospitalized after a wrong-way driver caused a chain-reaction collision along I-10.
The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. in the 11400 block of IH-10 West in the southbound lanes.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, a 41-year-old man was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when his car collided with a truck.
Moments later, the same vehicle struck a second car driven by a 47-year-old woman who had been traveling in the correct direction.
She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, where she remained in serious condition.
The wrong-way driver was taken into custody on suspicion of intoxication-related charges.
