The driver was arrested and charged with two counts of criminally negligent homicide.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — A woman is in custody after reportedly crashing a vehicle into a North Texas home, killing a woman and a boy and injuring multiple others.

According to the Stephenville Police Department, officers were called at about 3:26 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 200 block of North Ollie Street in response to the incident.

Upon arrival, officials say multiple people with injuries were found. They were taken to Texas Health Resources Stephenville by Erath County EMS and the Stephenville Fire Department, but in spite of life-saving efforts, the woman and the boy were both pronounced dead. 

The driver, Gracie Yates, was arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide. 

Records show Yates is booked in the Erath County Jail and has two bonds totaling $29,000.
