SAN ANTONIO – Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames of a large structure fire, just south of Downtown.

Around 8:15 p.m., crews rushed to the scene of a major structure fire in a commercial building near the corner of Ellis Bean and East Lachapelle.

When crews arrived, they found a large fire inside the warehouse, and immidietly requested a second alarm as a precaution.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, the fire was under control in roughly 10 minutes.

Crews are now checking for hotspots and working to remove the smoke from the large building.

No injuries were reported, and the cause will be under investigation. This is a developing story.
