City’s first diverging diamond interchange now open at Blanco Road and Loop 1604

SAN ANTONIO — Good news drivers! The city’s first diverging diamond interchange is now open at Blanco Road and Loop 1604.

TxDOT announced on Sunday traffic is now flowing in the new DDI traffic pattern after crews finished the switch early.

Under the new pattern, drivers will cross over to the left side of the road after the first traffic light, then cross back to the right side at a second set of lights.
