Police are investigating a deadly shooting near west Dallas late Sunday night, according to officials

Victim’s name has not been released at this time. The cause of the shooting remains under investigation.

DALLAS, Texas — Police are investigating a deadly shooting near west Dallas late Sunday night, according to officials. 

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Westmoreland Road just before 9 p.m. Sunday. Police say they found a body in the front yard next to a truck. 

A search of the house was also conducted, according to police on scene. 

The victim’s name has not been released at this time. The cause of the shooting remains under investigation.
