Nighttime construction lane closures on I-35 may cause delays for weekend drivers

SAN ANTONIO — Drivers should expect some delays this weekend on I-35 northbound as part of phase 1 of an ongoing construction project.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), construction work is ongoing as part of the I-35 NEX South project.

Drivers should be prepared for alternating lane closures at nighttime only.

Officials say construction is expected to end on Monday, Oct. 27 at 5 a.m.
