Anthony Golden, 59, was arrested Friday and charged with stalking, according to Austin police.

AUSTIN, Texas — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with several “window peeping” and stalking incidents across various parts of Austin.

In an update on Monday, March 23, the Austin Police Department (APD) said 59-year-old Anthony Golden was arrested Friday and charged with one count of stalking after at least two recent incidents. Police said “a significant tip” helped lead to Golden’s arrest.

Prior to the arrest, Austin police reported several window peeping incidents around the city, including one that happened in February and another in early March.

APD said a man was seen looking inside the windows of a home on Avenue C in the Hyde Park area at around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Law enforcement said the man returned to the home at about 12:35 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4.

Police said the man, later identified as Golden, drove a white Toyota Prius with a missing hubcap on the vehicle’s front right side.

Police are still investigating the incidents. Anyone with additional information on Golden and/or similar incidents is asked to call APD Special Victims Unit Sgt. Hanna-Morris at 512-974-5068. You can also contact the Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477 or by clicking here.Â
