Plano East’s baseball team leaned on dominant pitching to secure a 3-1 win over Prosper last Saturday.
Ben Stultz and Diego Moran combined to throw a one-hitter with five strikeouts, helping the Panthers improve to 4-2 in District 6-6A and 14-5 overall.
The Panthers set the tone early offensively. Three of the first four batters reached base in the bottom of the first inning, with Tyler Lubow delivering an RBI single to give Plano East a 2-0 lead. An error in the third inning allowed Matthew Hyman to score, extending the advantage to 3-0.Rylan Speight led the offense with two hits.Â
