San Antonio — SAN ANTONIO – The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is searching for James Christian Olivarez and asking for the public’s help.
In 2023, Olivarez was convicted of transporting undocumented immigrants, a crime often tied to what many call a coyote operation.
Court records show he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
But federal authorities say Olivarez violated the terms of that release.
Investigators say he tested positive for cocaine multiple times, with those results confirmed by lab testing. Authorities also say he failed to complete court-ordered substance abuse treatment.
Those alleged violations led to his supervised release being revoked. He is now wanted by the U.S. Marshals.
Olivarez is 52 years old. Authorities say he is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 196 pounds.
He also has several distinctive tattoos, including an infinity symbol with the word “love” and a rose on his chest, along with a bat with its wings spread next to the words “tiempo perdido.”
Investigators warn Olivarez may try to change his appearance.
His last known location was on San Antonio’s Northeast Side.
