AUSTIN, Texas — Even though Spring just started last Friday, Central Texas has already broken heat records. Over the weekend, the CBS Austin Weather Team says Central Texas shattered previous records of 90 and 91 degrees set at Camp Mabry and Austin-Bergstrom in 1951 respectively by hitting 93 degrees. The CBS Austin Weather Team says near record heat is possible today, tomorrow and Thursday before a cold front arrives on Friday.
