As stated by the company, TBC will now enter a diligence process with the projects’ stakeholders. That is, the company will deliberate on project feasibility that which will involve an investigation of geotechnical borings and subsurface utility mapping, permitting and environmental review, as well as hold meetings with elected officials to ensure official support.

The diligence process is quite costly and often kneecaps such infrastructure process before they can get off the ground. Notably, The Boring Company will completely fund this process. If any of the projects fail during this time, the costs will be completely absorbed by the company; if any/all the projects pass, the company will continue with its construction.

“Once the diligence (100% funded by TBC) is complete, if all 3 projects are feasible, will fund/build all 3 – this would be awesome. If only 1 is feasible, will fund/build 1″, the company wrote in its announcement.
