Little Rock Township and the City of Plano are inviting local seniors to celebrate the season at the upcoming “Spring Fling Senior Luncheon” on March 31.
The event, held at Plano Middle School, is open to all residents aged 60 and older living within the township or city limits. Caretakers are also invited to attend regardless of their age.
The day begins at 10:00 AM with a senior resources expo in the school gymnasium. Following the expo, a catered lunch will be served at 11:30 AM, featuring a menu of fried chicken, mostaccioli, meatballs, and various sides prepared by Kathy Miller. The luncheon will also include a presentation by the Plano Police Department.
While there is no fixed entry fee, organizers suggest a donation of $6 per attendee.
Those interested in attending must register by March 16. Registration forms can be dropped off or mailed to Alderman Kathy Wickens at Plano City Hall, 17 East Main Street. For more information, residents can contact Wickens at 630-552-7138 or via email at mjshanahan01@gmail.com.
The event is scheduled to conclude at 2:30 PM.
