AUSTIN, Texas — Creativity and sustainability are coming together this weekend as Austin Creative Reuse hosts its annual Spring Reuse Art Market.

Austin Creative Reuse is a conservation-focused nonprofit dedicated to keeping materials out of landfills and giving them new life through creativity. “If you don’t know, Austin Creative Reuse is a conservation-focused nonprofit. Our goal is to divert materials that would have otherwise gone to the landfill and instead find ways to give them new life through art and creative supplies,” Jillian said.

The Spring Reuse Art Market brings that mission to life, featuring more than 100 vendors who specialize in repurposed materials. “We have tons of artists who focus on using reused materials, making all sorts of interesting products over this two-day market. They’ll be set up outside in our parking lot with plenty of opportunities to shop creative goods,” Jillian explained.

What sets the market apart is its commitment to sustainability and originality. “We require a minimum of 50 percent reused materials, and many vendors exceed that. These are artists you won’t find at other markets, so there are opportunities to discover things you won’t see anywhere else in town,” she added.
The Spring Reuse Art Market is happening this weekend, inviting the community to shop, learn, and celebrate creativity while supporting sustainable practices.
Beyond shopping, the event also offers interactive experiences for attendees of all ages. “We partner with local nonprofits to host free activities and educational opportunities, so people can do more than just shop — they can learn, participate, and create something themselves,” Jillian said.
Aileen shared how her brand, Revision Goods, transforms discarded materials into functional and stylish home goods. “We design handcrafted home goods and accessories using reclaimed materials, especially premium ones that would otherwise end up in landfills. From leather trays and pouches to pillows and coasters, everything is made with the goal of giving materials a second life,” Aileen said.
Her passion for sustainability is rooted in rethinking how materials are used. “Instead of a linear economy of take, make, and waste, we’re thinking about circularity — how materials can be reused and reimagined. There are so many beautiful materials out there that still have value, and it’s about transforming them into something useful and meaningful,” she explained.
