HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death in north Harris County on Monday afternoon, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the shooting at 12:07 p.m. at a residence in the 1900 block of McAulty Road, HCSO said.
Authorities said that the man, who sustained at least one gunshot wound, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The sheriff’s office said that there was another man on the scene, who fled the scene.
HCSO said that a few bystanders and witnesses were detained by deputies at the scene.
Detectives said that they are still trying to determine whether the incident was either a homicide or a suicide.
