Houston police are asking for help after four people were shot, one of them fatally, early Sunday morning.
HOUSTON — An investigation is underway after four people were shot, one of them fatally, in southwest Houston early Sunday morning.
The Houston Police Department said it first learned of the shooting after getting called to a hospital shortly after 5 a.m. when two people showed up with gunshot wounds.
The people told officers they had been shot at a nightclub on Rampart. When officers went to the club, they didn’t find anything out of place.
HPD said it got another call just before 6 a.m. reporting a shooting at a different club on Ashcroft Drive just south of Bellaire Boulevard. At that scene, officers found two other people had been shot. One of those people was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
“Things are transpiring very slowly. We don’t have a lot of witnesses. We don’t have a lot of information,” said HPD Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu. “We are asking for the public to come forward if they have anything, to please contact homicide at 713-308-3800, or Crime Stoppers, 713-222-TIPS (8477).”
