HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Harris County Precinct 1 Constable deputy was rushed to the hospital Tuesday morning following a crash on the Eastex Freeway, authorities confirmed.
According to Pct. 1, the crash happened on the northbound lanes of IH-69 at Collingsworth. The crash involved the deputy and another vehicle.
It’s unclear what led to the crash, but authorities said the deputy was hospitalized due to his injuries, which are not life-threatening. The condition of the other driver involved was not immediately known.
Drivers could expect delays as crews work to clear the scene.
