EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police are investigating the death of a 38-year-old man after officers found him during a welfare check last week.
Police were called at 2:27 p.m. on March 17 to the 3800 block of Lawson on a report of a welfare check.
When officers arrived and checked the residence, they located Michael Jenkins, 38, a Northeast El Paso resident, dead.
Officers notified the Crimes Against Persons unit, which responded and took over the investigation.
Because of Jenkins’ injuries, investigators determined the death was suspicious in nature and are continuing the murder investigation.
