The incident caused several hours of traffic backup Tuesday evening along I-35 northbound.
AUSTIN, Texas — Interstate 35 is back open after it temporarily closed Tuesday night when a semi-truck got stuck under the 11th Street Bridge in Downtown Austin.Â
The truck collided into the bridge at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of North I-35 heading northbound. Austin police and fire crews responded shortly after.Â
The northbound lanes of the highway were temporarily closed to traffic, causing several hours of backup in the area.Â
Crews removed the semi-truck shortly after 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, and the roadway reopened at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.Â
KVUE crews on scene said the semi-truck displayed an “oversized load banner” across its front.Â
No injuries were reported, and no additional information is available at this time.Â
