Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026, Rio Vista Cemetery, Rio Vista, Texas John was born on March 10, 1957, in Newcastle, Pennsylvania, to John LeRoy Cochran Sr. and Teresa Zeda Cochran. He worked as an owner-operator truck driver and was affectionately nicknamed “The Candyman” by his coworkers, as he was known for always bringing candy to share. John had a passion for his tractor and truck, which he proudly showcased at various shows, earning numerous awards. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and making people laugh. Above all, he cherished time with his grandchildren and family. John had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Cochran; his daughters, Jami Nelson and husband Chris, Kelly Welch, and Kandace Shumate and husband Robbie; sons, John Cochran III and wife Erica; his siblings, Julie Norman and husband Gary, Jean Baggerly, Jade Sanders, James Cochran and wife Shelly, Jodie Cochran, Josh Cochran, and Jason Cochran; as well as 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Justin Good.
