Updated Tuesday, March 24: 

A helicopter with two people on board struck a tree before crashing to the ground, the Texas Department of Public Safety told MySA on Tuesday afternoon. Officials said the aircraft crashed in Headwaters Ranch, a private property located near Sisterdale in Kendall County.

DPS said the pilot was airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio, while the passenger was taken by ground transportation to Methodist Hill Country Memorial Hospital. 

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of he incident and will be leading the investigation, according to DPS. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Kendall County Fire/EMS also responded to the incident. 

Officials have not provided information regarding the two people who were injured.

Officials have confirmed that at least two people were involved in a helicopter crash reported near Boerne on Tuesday, March 24.  

A City of Boerne spokesperson tells MySA that emergency crews responded to a call for the crash in Sisterdale, near the Kendall and Gillespie County line at around 11 a.m. 

Officials have provided few details about the incident, and the condition of the passengers is unknown. The Alamo Spring and Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Departments are both handling the call. 

Sisterdale is located about 50 miles northwest of San Antonio in the Hill Country.
