Jorge Corrales Rodriguez, 53, of Acuff, Texas, was called home to be with the Lord on March 15, 2026 at home in Acuff. He passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, faith, and unwavering love.
Jorge was born on August 10, 1972, in Praxedis G. Guerrero, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Antonio and Rufina Rodriguez. He moved to Castro County in July of 1979 and was raised in Dimmitt, Texas, where he built the foundation of the life and values he carried with him always.
Growing up in Dimmitt, Texas, Jorge developed a love for working with his hands, finding joy in woodworking and welding from an early age. He graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1991 and continued his education at South Plains College in Levelland before earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Tech University in 1996.
Jorge dedicated several years to leadership roles in retail management, where he was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to lead with integrity. However, it was in pharmacy where he found his true calling. Following the passing of his father in September 2012, Jorge began his work at UMC Inpatient Pharmacy in April 2013 and devoted the remainder of his career to serving others through his role there. Guided by a deep desire to care for people in a meaningful way, he took great pride in ensuring that every patient received the medications and attention they needed, always placing their well-being first. He gave freely of his time, his heart, and his talents, never hesitating to help those in need.
It was during this transition to UMC that Jorge met the love of his life, Diane, and together they began building a life and legacy grounded in love, faith, and unwavering devotion.
Jorge was a God-fearing, loving, and honorable man who consistently put others before himself. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and seen. His presence brought comfort, strength, and a sense of peace to those around him. To know Jorge was to know kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
He had a deep appreciation for life and found joy in many passions, including fishing, hunting, woodworking, welding, and sports. He was an avid supporter of Texas Tech athletics—cheering on basketball, football, and baseball—and enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball, Duke University basketball, and Florida State University football.
Above all, Jorge’s greatest love was his family. He loved his wife, Diane, deeply and faithfully, showing that love not only in words, but in the quiet, steady ways he cared, protected, and provided. His devotion to his children and loved ones was unwavering. He cherished his close friendships and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His love for his mother, Rufina, was especially profound—pure, deep, and beautiful. He took immense pride in his family and celebrated their accomplishments with genuine joy.
Jorge lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service, always putting others before himself and leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Jorge is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Peralez) Reynolds Rodriguez of Acuff, Texas; his sons, Malcolm Reynolds and Kalen Reynolds, both of Acuff, Texas; his daughter, Maddison Reynolds (Amy) of Lubbock, Texas; and his bonus daughter, Danielle Rought of San Antonio, Texas.
