The sheriff’s office said the incident began as a physical disturbance between minors.

AUSTIN, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) said it was unable to confirm any gunfire or sightings of a weapon after responding to reports of shots fired at Rodeo Austin Tuesday night.

TCSO said multiple agencies were on scene at the rodeo working “off-duty employment,” including the sheriff’s office.

At around 9:20 p.m., TCSO received reports of shots fired after a crowd of people began running and leaving the area. However, TCSO said it was unable to confirm any gunfire or sightings of a weapon, and later learned the incident began as a physical disturbance between minors.

No injuries were reported, and no additional information is available at this time.
