Lake Corpus Christi appeared nearly dry, footage from March 11 shows, as the Texan city faced alarmingly low water levels.

This video from Carrasco Ranch shows the drying lake, which dropped to nine percent of its capacity on March 25. A year prior, Lake Corpus Christi was at 20.9 percent capacity, according to Water Data for Texas.

According to Texas Public Radio, Governor Greg Abbott issued several emergency directives in a bid to prolong Corpus Christi’s timeline to water shortages.
