The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office says a situation involving a person in crisis Wednesday afternoon was resolved peacefully and safely.
The sheriff’s office had asked people to avoid the area of Silver Springs State Park due to the situation, which involved a large police presence, including officers from Plano and Yorkville.
Authorities said the situation remained contained and there was no threat to the public.
By about 2:40 p.m., police said the situation had been resolved and have not announced any arrests.
