Texas Tech Pro Day draws all 32 NFL teams, 75+ personnel

LUBBOCK, Texas – All 32 NFL teams were represented on Thursday at Texas Tech’s Pro Day, as more than 75 league personnel gathered inside the Womble Football Center to evaluate 19 prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Among those in attendance were four current NFL head coaches: Kellen Moore of the New Orleans Saints, Aaron Glenn of the New York Jets, Zac Taylor of the Cincinnati Bengals and Brian Schottenheimer of the Dallas Cowboys. General managers in attendance included Dan Morgan of the Carolina Panthers, Brian Gutekunst of the Green Bay Packers and Darren Mougey of the Jets, along with numerous assistant coaches, scouts and front office personnel.

“We have first-round draft picks, we have second-round draft picks—you all have done your homework,” said head coach Joey McGuire to those in attendance. “But at the end of the day, when you’re thinking about whether you’re going to take this guy in the seventh round or sign him as a free agent or practice squad guy, sign a Red Raider. They’ll come into your building, and the people in your building will appreciate them. They’re going to know how to practice, and they’ll practice the way you want them to. That’s what we’re trying to do here—practice like pros. They’ll know how to take notes, and they’ll love football. When you’re sitting there thinking about what you’re going to do, take a Red Raider. I promise you won’t regret it.”

The 19 prospects who either worked out on Thursday or met with team personnel included: OLB David Bailey, CB Dontae Balfour, P Jack Burgess, OL Davion Carter, WR Caleb Douglas, OLB Charles Esters III, DL Skyler Gill-Howard, OLB Romello Height, DL Lee Hunter, S A.J. McCarty, TE Johncarlos Miller II, QB Behren Morton, ILB Bryce Ramirez, ILB Jacob Rodriguez, OLB Terrell Tilmon, WR Reggie Virgil, S Cole Wisniewski, as well as a pair of former Red Raiders, WR Brady Boyd amd WR Jordan Brown.

Eight Red Raiders who previously participated in the NFL Scouting Combine — Bailey, Douglas, Gill-Howard, Height, Hunter, Morton, Rodriguez and Virgil — limited their agility testing Thursday after already posting strong results but participated in on-field drills. Others took advantage of their first opportunity to post measurements, including linebacker Ramirez, who recorded a 38.5-inch vertical jump and 31 bench press repetitions. Safety Wisniewski added a 36.5-inch vertical and a 10-foot-2 broad jump despite dealing with an injury.

The 2026 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
