Vehicular Homicide Units are not at the scene yet. APD says that those responders are currently en route after investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened around 3 a.m. Friday morning in south Austin.

APD says that this delay in investigation will likely cause US 183 to remain closed for at least three more hours.

Police say traffic is being diverted at the Spicewood Springs Road / McNeil Road exit just after Anderson Mill Road.

APD says that investigators are performing sobriety tests on the driver of the pickup truck, who remained on scene after the crash. A DWI unit is on scene, according to APD.
