FORT WORTH – Sharon Elaine Moon, 74, passed away on March 21, 2026. Inurnment: 9 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. Sharon was born on November 29, 1951, in Graham, Texas, and raised in Fort Worth. She married and raised a family, moving between Killeen, Texas, Germany, and Newcastle, Texas, before finally settling back in the Fort Worth area. She always said she was a Fort Worth girl and never wanted to live anywhere else again. Sharon graduated from Castleberry High School in Fort Worth in 1969. She earned her RN degree at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. Sharon was a nurse who dedicated her career to improving the lives of older adults. She filled every position from Director of Nursing at a rural nursing home, to Corporate Vice President at Greystone, a senior living management firm. She was extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented, and loved working with architects and interior designers to ensure all aspects of new communities were designed with seniors in mind. Sharon’s Christian faith and witness was the center of her life. She started playing the piano and organ for church as a teenager and continued into her adult life. She also taught Sunday school and youth group, organized welcome luncheons for newcomers, and sang in the choir. She was enthusiastic about hobbies and was always diving into a new one. Among other activities, she painted watercolors, gardened, traveled extensively, and learned golf. She was an excellent baker, known especially for her chocolate meringue pies. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Alison Padget and her husband, Larry Padget Jr.; son, Jason Clark Moon and his wife, Cindy Moon; grandchildren, Anne-Marie and Luke Padget and Benjamin Moon; and her brother, Richard Bruce Wray and his wife, Linda Wray.
