LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A large structure fire in northwest Lubbock County is affecting traffic on Milwaukee Avenue.
Around 8:22 a.m., multiple crews were called to a working fire in the 5300 block of N. County Rd. 1700.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, Shallowater, Wolfforth, Abernathy, New Deal and Carlisle fire departments are all assisting.
Emergency crews have shutdown parts of Milwaukee due to heavy smoke.
At this time, the sheriff’s office is unable to identify any injuries because firefighters have not been able to safely search the property.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
