SAN ANTONIO – Hundreds of protesters are expected to march in a third “No Kings Rally” this weekend, speaking out against the Trump administration.

The rally is scheduled for Saturday, and organizers say there is a growing sense of unrest within the community and a need to protest.

Marchers have said in the past they believe they have the power and are claiming it together, with the message: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. The movement, described as a national resistance to tyranny, is expected to spread across communities. Organizers say many are unhappy with issues including events in Iran, gas prices, the government shutdown and what they call the unjust removal of hard-working immigrant community members.

They say when families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option, adding they will defend their communities against what they describe as unjust actions by the administration.

Saturday’s rally is set to take place at Travis Park from 4-7 p.m. A large police presence is expected, and similar rallies have been held in other cities across the area.
