LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock police are investigating a crash involving two motorcycles that left three people injured on South Loop 289 Wednesday night.
Around 8:45 p.m., officers responded to a crash with injuries in the eastbound lanes of the South Loop between Quaker and Slide Road.
One person has been seriously injured and two others have moderate injuries after a collision involving a motorcycle on South Loop 289 between Quaker and Slide Road.(Slade Perkins, KCBD)
Upon arrival, officers found the driver of a motorcycle, 26-year-old Kristopher Florez, and his passenger, 20-year-old Mariah Ochoa, with moderate injuries.
The driver of the second motorcycle, 18-year-old Teaguen King, also suffered moderate injuries.
All three were taken to UMC for treatment.
Crash investigators say it appears Florez was traveling behind King when the two motorcycles collided in the left hand lanes before sliding down the roadway and coming to a rest.
The crash remains under investigation.
