A local Tex-Mex chain continues its expansion in the San Antonio area, adding a new location near Balcones Heights.

Tia’s Taco Hut officially opened its 16th area location in the metro on March 2, according to a Facebook post from the business.
It’s located at 4519 Fredericksburg Road in Balcones Heights, across the street from Wonderland of the Americas.
It’s one of seven locations in Northern San Antonio—according to previous reporting from Community Impact, another location opened in the Stone Oak area on Sept. 16 of last year at 3643 Evans Road, Ste. 101.
The specifics
Tia’s Taco Hut serves up traditional San Antonio-style Tex-Mex, from all-day breakfast tacos and burritos to parrilladas and enchilada plates, according to the menu.
There’s also an American section on the menu with specialty burgers, sandwiches and chicken tenders at some locations.
Classic breakfast plates like huevos rancheros and huevo a la Mex are also up for grabs.
