Allen ISD’s board of trustees is scheduled to review middle-of-the-year student assessments at an upcoming meeting.
The full story
Board members are scheduled to meet March 30 for a regular meeting. The agenda includes a review of interim assessment results conducted during the 2025-26 school year.
School district officials utilize different interim assessments to measure student progress halfway through the school year. For example, the STAAR Interim Assessment is issued to students in US History and Algebra courses, according to a district presentation attached to the agenda.
Board members will receive a report on the results, and no action is expected, according to the agenda.
Also on the agenda
The board will also consider approving the purchase of instructional materials for English language arts in kindergarten through fifth-grade classrooms. Board members will consider approval of about $1.16 million for the purchase, according to the agenda.
The consent agenda, which will be acted on in one motion, also includes consideration of an item related to retrofitting the school district’s school buses with three-point seatbelts. District officials discussed the state-mandated requirement earlier this month.
If approved by the board, district staff would report the estimated cost of complying with Senate Bill 546 to the Texas Education Agency.
